Meet Lee Yasgur, MD

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Yasgur returned from four tours of US Naval Military Service in Vietnam to attend Temple University where he received his bachelor's degree cum laude. He attended Hahnemann Medical College (now Drexel) for his Medical Degree, Jefferson Hospital for Internship in Family Medicine, then Hahnemann University Hospital for Ophthalmology Residency. A portion of the residency was a semester at Stanford University for Ophthalmology Basic Sciences.
Since 1981, Dr. Yasgur has been serving the South Jersey community in the private practice of ophthalmology, both medicine and surgery for the eyes. He helped introduce the technologies of laser surgery for glaucoma and folding intra-ocular lenses to South Jersey and taught these techniques to other surgeons for years.
He has served as volunteer faculty at Hahnemann, West Jersey Hospital Department of Family Medicine, and Elmer Community Hospital. He has been a medical adviser to the Lupus Foundation. He and his wife have invested volunteer time for years in the efforts of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
